Some schools in the area are willing to let you buy a belt rank. Show up for two years and they are happy to trade you a piece of paper that says you are a black belt. Those schools also don't retain those black belts. Not at CCMAA however.
At CCMAA, the instructors are only worried about making sure you know all the aspects of a well rounded program; not some fantasy timeline. Every time you earn a new belt, it's because you worked hard and truly deserve it after putting in the hours and sweat. That's also probably why so many of the students stay with program. You aren't training to be a black belt, you are being taught to be martial artist.

Krav Maga is one of the most effective workout and self-defense programs I have ever been a part of. The program, as taught at CCMAA by Wade Cunningham, will help you get in shape, keep you in shape and drastically improve your self-confidence and self-defense ability. Its one of the best investments you can make.

Israeli Krav Maga
I’ve always wanted to take some sort of a self defense class and had been considering Krav Maga when I met Wade. He invited me to stop by and watch a class which was all it took, I have been hooked since that night. Although I was intimidated at first, Wade’s teaching methodology, along with the dedication and assistance from the other students, has allowed me to feel relaxed and comfortable. Krav Maga has taught me self-defense techniques that may be used after the first day of class as well as encouraged me to become more aware of my surroundings while in public. Each class focuses on building upon skills taught in previous classes in addition to increasing your fitness level. The Krav Maga atmosphere at CCMAA is laid back but at the same time everyone there is focused on learning to defend themselves. I’ve been attending Krav Maga classes for only 3 months now and have consistently left class feeling like I have learned a lot and have gotten a great workout.

I believe that Krav Maga is a great system for everyone. I became an Instructor because I believe in the System and I wanted to pass it on to anyone willing to learn it.

"Being a law enforcement officer I can certainly attest to the combat effectiveness of Krav Maga. You can try some other forms of self defense, but you may only come away with a false sense of security...with Krav you'll come away with real world combat proven confidence. I teach CQB (close quarters battle) techniques to patrol officers and SWAT. I can spot techniques that are made to look good, but are ineffective when the real thing happens...Krav is not one of them. Krav Maga is no sport, it is designed to disable or subdue your attacker in a matter of seconds. I've been instructed in many forms of self defense and by far the Krav techniques I have available to me are the best. Krav will teach you how to prepare for a confrontation, how to avoid a confrontation by being more aware and how to conduct yourself after the confrontation. I tell my officers that the world is a 360 degree environment, play for real. The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in combat..."
